Maastricht Scharn is a beginner-friendly circuit through the Heuvelland east of the city, built fast and flat rather than technical. It mixes gravel paths and forest roads with brief singletrack.
The 28.9 km green route runs mostly gravel and forest road with some singletrack over gentle rolling hills totalling 327 m. Scenery takes in forest, heath, fields and orchards, with picturesque stretches near Margraten and the Geul valley.
