Valkenburg Cauberg is a challenging climbing route through the hilly Heuvelland of South Limburg, named for its famous climb. It rewards experienced riders with long ascents over a fair amount of asphalt and broad unpaved paths.
The 30.4 km blue route includes long, fairly steep climbs and two valley crossings, gaining over 400 m, with beginners likely walking sections. It runs forest, fields and orchards with plateau vistas, though sections near the Cauberg can be overgrown.
