Three things shipped today, and they share a theme: the platform should never pretend. Not that you joined a team you never said yes to, not that your hardtail has a shock, and not that a number exists when it does not.
Teams ask first now
Until today, being added to a team just happened to you. From now on a team sends an invitation and you accept or decline it. Pending invites show up in the iPhone app under Profile, in the new Teams section, and the invite links from email land exactly there. Decline and nothing changes; accept and the team's rides and setups start flowing into your feed.
Our trail logger traced.at picked up the same concept on its review screen: when you finish a recording you can now pick a team the ride is visible to, instead of choosing only between private, friends and public.
Setup forms follow your bike
A setup on Dialed records fork and shock values: pressure, sag, rebound, compression, tokens. But a hardtail has no shock, and from today the whole platform respects that. The setup form on a hardtail simply has no shock block, the API refuses shock values for bikes without one, and existing pages hide what does not apply. Less scrolling past fields that mean nothing for your bike, and no more phantom data in community comparisons.
Stat tiles stopped bluffing
Ride and trail pages show stat tiles: lap time, distance, climb, that kind of thing. Those numbers come from recorded rides, and sometimes a value genuinely does not exist yet. Until today we rendered a dash. Now the tile is simply gone, on the web ride pages and in the iPhone app's ride detail alike. What you see is real, and when a tile appears it is because the data arrived.
